NFT System
FarFISH NFTs are ERC-1155 tokens on Base that serve as premium passes in the FarFISH ecosystem. Each NFT unlocks enhanced rewards and staking opportunities.
What are FarFISH NFTs?
FarFISH NFTs are utility tokens that provide:
- Enhanced Staking Rewards - Higher yields for longer lock periods
- Premium Chest Access - Unlock the Silver Chest (6 FRH daily)
- Leaderboard Status - Build reputation and rank
- Cross-App Compatibility - Use your NFTs across all FarFISH applications
All NFTs are minted on Base Mainnet using the ERC-1155 standard, which allows for multiple token types within a single contract.
Contract: See NFT Drop Contract for address and verification details.
NFT Rarity Tiers
FarFISH has 16 unique NFT token IDs (0-15) organized into 4 rarity tiers:
Bluefin (Common)
- Token IDs: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
- Rarity: Common (7 variants)
- Staking Rewards:
- 30 days: 120 FRH
- 90 days: 240 FRH
- 180 days: 480 FRH
- 360 days: 960 FRH
GoldRay (Rare)
- Token IDs: 7, 8, 9, 10, 11
- Rarity: Rare (5 variants)
- Staking Rewards:
- 30 days: 240 FRH
- 90 days: 480 FRH
- 180 days: 960 FRH
- 360 days: 1,920 FRH
RedSpike (Epic)
- Token IDs: 12, 13, 14
- Rarity: Epic (3 variants)
- Staking Rewards:
- 30 days: 480 FRH
- 90 days: 960 FRH
- 180 days: 1,920 FRH
- 360 days: 3,840 FRH
ShadowGill (Legendary)
- Token ID: 15
- Rarity: Legendary (1 variant)
- Staking Rewards:
- 30 days: 960 FRH
- 90 days: 1,920 FRH

The rarer the NFT, the higher the staking rewards across all lock periods.
Weighted Random Minting
FarFISH uses a weighted random selection algorithm to determine which NFT you receive when minting. This ensures fair distribution while maintaining rarity.
How It Works
-
Calculate Remaining Supply
- The system checks how many NFTs remain for each token ID
- Token IDs with more remaining supply have higher selection weight
- Sold-out tokens are excluded from selection
-
Weight by Availability
- Each token's weight = remaining supply for that token
- Total weight = sum of all remaining supplies
- Your chance of getting a token = (token remaining) / (total remaining)
-
Cryptographic Randomness
- Uses browser
Crypto.getRandomValues()for secure randomness - Maps random value to weighted range
- Result: Random token ID weighted by remaining supply
- Uses browser
Example Scenario
Suppose these tokens remain:
- Token 0 (Bluefin): 100 remaining
- Token 7 (GoldRay): 50 remaining
- Token 15 (ShadowGill): 10 remaining
Your minting odds:
- Token 0: 100/160 = 62.5% chance
- Token 7: 50/160 = 31.25% chance
- Token 15: 10/160 = 6.25% chance
As tokens sell out, remaining NFTs become more likely to be minted. This naturally preserves rarity while ensuring all NFTs eventually mint.
Supply Tracking
The system tracks supply for all 16 token IDs:
- Total Supply: Number of NFTs already minted
- Max Supply: Maximum mintable per token ID
- Remaining: Max Supply - Total Supply
Supply data is fetched from the smart contract in real-time during minting.
Claim Conditions
Each token ID has claim conditions that determine:
- Mint Start Time - When minting becomes available
- Max Claimable Supply - Total mintable limit
- Price - Mint cost (in ETH or ERC20 tokens)
- Currency - Native ETH or specific ERC20 address
The system validates claim conditions before allowing mint transactions.
Viewing Your NFT Collection
In FarFISH Apps
Your NFTs are visible across all FarFISH applications:
Web App (app.farfish.xyz)
- Home page shows your NFT count
- Profile page displays NFT holdings
- Stake page lists mintable and stakeable NFTs
Base App (baseapp.farfish.xyz)
- Same contract, same NFTs
- Full cross-compatibility
- Coinbase Wallet optimized
Farcaster Mini App (miniapp.farfish.xyz)
- NFTs linked to your Farcaster identity
- Mint and stake from Farcaster client
- Same NFT contracts as other apps
On Block Explorers
View your NFTs on BaseScan:
- Go to BaseScan
- Search for NFT contract from Contract Addresses
- Click Inventory tab
- Enter your wallet address
You'll see all your FarFISH NFT token IDs and quantities.
In Your Wallet
Most Web3 wallets support NFT viewing:
MetaMask:
- Open MetaMask mobile app
- Go to NFTs tab
- Your FarFISH NFTs appear automatically
Coinbase Wallet:
- Open Coinbase Wallet
- Navigate to Collectibles
- FarFISH NFTs display with metadata
Note: Some wallets may require manual import of the contract address.
Cross-App NFT Usage
Your NFTs work seamlessly across all FarFISH applications because:
Same Smart Contracts
All apps use identical contract addresses (see Contract Addresses):
Cross-App Workflows
Example Flow:
- Mint in Web App - User mints NFT on app.farfish.xyz
- View in Base App - NFT immediately visible on baseapp.farfish.xyz
- Stake in Mini App - Can stake the same NFT on miniapp.farfish.xyz
- Claim Rewards Anywhere - Unlock and claim from any app
Why It Works:
- Blockchain is the source of truth
- All apps read from the same on-chain data
- Your wallet address is your identity
- No separate accounts or synchronization needed
Transfer Between Apps
You don't "transfer" NFTs between apps-they're already everywhere.
When you mint or stake an NFT:
- It's stored on Base blockchain
- All apps read from the same blockchain
- Changes are instantly visible everywhere
Think of FarFISH apps as different windows into the same NFT collection.
NFT Lifecycle
1. Minting
- Click "Mint Premium Pass" on home page
- System selects random token ID (weighted by supply)
- Approve transaction in your wallet
- NFT appears in your wallet instantly
2. Holding
- NFT sits in your wallet
- Can transfer to another wallet if desired
- Enables Silver Chest claiming (6 FRH daily)
- Counts toward leaderboard reputation
3. Staking
- Lock NFT in staking contract
- Choose lock duration (30/90/180/360 days)
- Earn rewards based on rarity and lock period
- NFT cannot be transferred while staked
4. Unstaking
- Wait until lock period ends
- Claim rewards (if not already claimed)
- Unstake NFT back to your wallet
- Can stake again with new lock period
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I mint multiple NFTs?
Yes, you can mint as many as you want (one per transaction). Each mint gives you a new randomly selected NFT based on weighted odds.
Can I choose which rarity I mint?
No, the rarity is determined by weighted random selection. However, you can view the remaining supply to estimate odds.
What if I get a duplicate token ID?
You can own multiple copies of the same token ID (ERC-1155 allows quantities). Each copy can be staked separately.
Can I sell my NFTs?
Yes, FarFISH NFTs are standard ERC-1155 tokens and can be transferred or traded on any compatible marketplace.
Do minted NFTs expire?
No, your NFTs are permanently yours on-chain. They never expire or disappear.
Can I stake the same NFT in multiple apps?
No, once staked, the NFT is locked in the staking contract. However, you can view and manage the stake from any FarFISH app.
What happens if supply runs out?
If all NFTs of a certain token ID are minted, that token ID is excluded from future mints. Other token IDs remain available.
