The FarFISH leaderboard tracks the most active and influential community members. Earn points through referrals, climb the ranks, and showcase your contributions to the ecosystem.

How Rankings Work

Leaderboard Basics

The FarFISH leaderboard is a competitive ranking system that displays:

• Top 100 Users - Highest scorers in the ecosystem
• Your Rank - Your position among all users
• Referral Counts - How many users each person referred
• Total Rewards - Cumulative FRH earned

Visibility: Anyone can view the leaderboard on the /rank page across all FarFISH apps.

Data Source

Backend: Off-chain data storage system

Structure:

• Sorted ranking of wallet addresses by score
• Real-time updates on referral activities
• Descending order (highest score first)

Query: Leaderboard displays the top 100 wallets with their scores.

Rank Calculation

Your rank is determined by your leaderboard score:

Formula:

Rank = Position in leaderboard (1-indexed)

Example:

• Top scorer: Rank 1
• Second place: Rank 2
• 100th place: Rank 100
• Below 100: Not shown on leaderboard (rank still tracked)

Tie-Breaking:

• If scores are equal, order is determined by backend storage implementation
• In practice, ties are rare (referrals happen at different timestamps)

Score Calculation

Scoring System

Your score increases through referral activities:

1. Referring New Users (+1 per referral)

• When someone joins with your referral code
• You earn +1 score
• Translates to 20 FRH displayed rewards

2. Being Referred (+1 welcome bonus)

• When you join using someone else's referral code
• You earn +1 score (one-time)
• Translates to 20 FRH displayed rewards

Score Formula:

Score = Number of successful referrals + (1 if you were referred, else 0)

Display Formula:

Displayed Rewards = Score × 20 FRH

Example Scenarios

Scenario 1: Active Referrer (No Welcome Bonus)

• Referred 15 users
• Joined without referral code
• Score: 15
• Displayed Rewards: 300 FRH
• Referral Count: 15

Scenario 2: Referred User (No Referrals)

• Referred 0 users
• Joined with referral code (welcome bonus)
• Score: 1
• Displayed Rewards: 20 FRH
• Referral Count: 0

Scenario 3: Active Referrer + Welcome Bonus

• Referred 50 users
• Joined with referral code
• Score: 51 (50 referrals + 1 welcome)
• Displayed Rewards: 1,020 FRH
• Referral Count: 50

Score vs Referral Count

Two Separate Metrics:

Why They Differ:

• Score includes your welcome bonus (if you were referred)
• Referral Count only includes users you referred
• Expected: Score ≥ Referral Count (always true)

Displayed on Leaderboard:

• Referrals Column: Actual referral count
• Rewards Column: Score × 20 (total FRH earned)

Access: Navigate to /rank in any FarFISH app

Table Structure:

Features:

• Auto-Refresh - Data updates on page load
• Manual Refresh - Click refresh button to reload
• Highlight Your Row - Your own entry is highlighted (teal background)
• Scroll to See More - All top 100 users displayed

Your Rank Card

If you're on the leaderboard (top 100), a card appears at the top with:

• 🏆 Your Rank - Your position
• 👤 Your User ID - Last 8 chars of your wallet
• 🔗 Referrals - How many you've referred
• 💰 Rewards - Total FRH earned

If Not Ranked:

• Card shows "Not Ranked" or omitted
• You can still see the top 100
• Work on referrals to join the leaderboard

Outside Top 100

What if I'm not in the top 100?

• Your rank is still tracked (just not displayed on the page)
• Use the User Rank API to check your exact rank
• Continue referring to climb the rankings

Rank Meaning:

• rank: 0 - Not ranked (no referrals)
• rank: 1-100 - On leaderboard
• rank: 101+ - Off leaderboard but tracked

Reward Distribution Process

Current System

No Automatic Reward Distribution:

• Leaderboard scores are display-only (off-chain)
• FRH rewards from referrals are credited immediately when referral is recorded
• Leaderboard rank does not trigger additional payments

Immediate Referral Rewards:

• When you refer someone: +20 FRH (instant)
• When someone refers you: +20 FRH welcome bonus (instant)
• These rewards are on-chain transactions from the system wallet

Leaderboard as Reputation:

• Shows your engagement and contribution
• Builds community standing
• May unlock future perks or exclusive features

Future Reward Distribution

Potential Future Features:

1. Tiered Rewards

• Top 10: Exclusive NFT rewards
• Top 50: Bonus FRH airdrops
• Top 100: Early access to new features

2. Monthly Competitions

• Highest referrals in a month win prizes
• Leaderboard resets or separate monthly tracks
• Special events with enhanced rewards

3. Streak Bonuses

• Reward consistent referrals over time
• Multipliers for long-term participation

• Chest Page - Trust Anchor card shows FRH balance
• Profile Page - Wallet stats display FRH holdings
• Leaderboard Page - Shows cumulative rewards from referrals

3. Block Explorer

• Visit BaseScan
• Search for FRH token contract
• Enter your wallet address to view balance and transactions

Cross-App Synchronization

Leaderboard data is perfectly synchronized across all FarFISH apps:

Why:

• All apps use the same backend database
• Same contract calls
• Same referral system backend

What This Means:

• Refer someone in Web App → Score increases in Base App
• Refer someone in Mini App → Rank updates in Web App
• Leaderboard is universal across ecosystem

2. Check rank in Base App (baseapp.farfish.xyz/rank)
3. Scores and ranks are identical

Real-Time Updates

Leaderboard updates in real-time:

When Score Changes:

1. User refers someone → API records referral
2. Backend updates leaderboard score
3. Score increases instantly
4. Rank recalculated immediately

When You View:

• Leaderboard page queries latest data from backend
• Always shows current state
• No caching delays

Manual Refresh:

• Click refresh button to re-query
• Useful if you just completed a referral
• Data should update within seconds

Tracking Your Progress

Current Features:

• Snapshot of current rank
• Current referral count
• Current rewards total

Not Yet Available:

• Historical rank tracking
• Rank changes over time
• Performance graphs

Workaround:

• Manually track your rank daily
• Screenshot or note your position
• Compare over time

Competitive Intelligence

Viewing Others:

• See top 100 users publicly
• Compare your referral count to others
• Identify rank gaps (how many referrals to next rank)

Strategy:

• If rank #25 with 10 referrals
• Rank #20 has 15 referrals
• Need 5 more referrals to potentially reach top 20

Note: Ranks are dynamic-others are also referring, so the target moves.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often does the leaderboard update?
Real-time. Every successful referral immediately updates scores and ranks.

Can I fall in rank even if I don't lose points?
Yes, if others refer more users and surpass your score, your rank decreases.

Is the leaderboard reset periodically?
No, the leaderboard is cumulative and permanent. All-time scoring.

What if there's a tie in score?
Ties are broken arbitrarily by the backend storage system. In practice, rare due to timestamp differences.

Can I see my rank if I'm below top 100?
Use the API: GET /api/leaderboard/user?wallet=0x... to see your exact rank.

Do NFT mints or stakes affect leaderboard rank?
No, only referrals affect leaderboard score. NFTs contribute to reputation in other ways (Trust Anchor).

Can I be removed from the leaderboard?
Only if your score becomes 0 (never decreases currently) or if your wallet is banned (not implemented).

Does the leaderboard show wallet addresses?
Only the last 8 characters (User ID). Full addresses are not displayed for privacy.

Can I hide my leaderboard entry?
No, all users with referrals are publicly visible. This is by design for transparency.

Are there prizes for top-ranked users?
Not currently. Future reward programs may be announced-follow official channels for updates.
