Economic Coordination SDK
The Economic Coordination SDK represents FarFISH's vision for enabling third-party developers to integrate FarFISH's identity, reputation, and reward systems into their own applications.
Current Status: Future Vision
The Economic Coordination SDK is a proposed feature, not yet available. This document describes the intended capabilities and design goals. Nothing on this page is currently implemented as a public developer tool.
What is the Economic Coordination SDK?
The SDK would be a set of developer tools allowing external applications to:
- Access FarFISH identity - Verify user wallet addresses and reputation
- Integrate reward systems - Distribute FRH tokens for external app actions
- Leverage reputation data - Use FarFISH leaderboard standing for access control
- Coordinate incentives - Align rewards across FarFISH and partner apps
Core principle: Enable a broader ecosystem where multiple apps share unified identity and economic coordination.
Intended Use Cases
Third-Party Game Integration
Scenario: A Web3 game wants to reward FarFISH users
What the SDK would enable:
- Verify user owns FarFISH NFTs
- Check user's leaderboard rank
- Award FRH tokens for in-game achievements
- Use reputation as trust score for matchmaking
Benefit: Players bring their FarFISH identity and reputation to new games, creating continuity across experiences.
Community Platform Integration
Scenario: A Discord bot or community tool
What the SDK would enable:
- Verify wallet ownership without manual verification
- Display user's FarFISH rank in chat
- Gate channels based on reputation (e.g., "Top 1000 only")
- Reward community contributions with FRH
Benefit: Community managers can leverage existing reputation systems instead of building from scratch.
Cross-Promotion Campaigns
Scenario: Partner projects running joint campaigns
What the SDK would enable:
- Award FarFISH reputation for partner app actions
- Create cross-app referral systems
- Share user identity securely across platforms
- Coordinate reward distribution
Benefit: Projects collaborate on user acquisition and retention without fragmenting user experience.
DeFi Protocol Integration
Scenario: A lending or liquidity protocol
What the SDK would enable:
- Use FarFISH reputation as creditworthiness signal
- Offer preferential rates to high-reputation users
- Reward liquidity provision with FarFISH reputation points
- Verify user participation without KYC
Benefit: Decentralized trust and reputation replace traditional credit scoring.
Speculative use cases: These scenarios describe potential applications if the SDK were implemented. They are not commitments or guarantees of specific functionality.
Proposed Architecture
Developer Integration Model
How developers would integrate:
- Register application - Request API access and credentials
- Implement authentication - Verify user wallet signatures
- Query reputation - Check user's FarFISH standing
- Trigger rewards - Award FRH or reputation points for actions
- Handle callbacks - Receive notifications of reward distribution
Integration complexity: Designed to be accessible to developers with basic Web3 knowledge.
Authentication Flow (Proposed)
User authentication with FarFISH identity:
- User connects wallet in third-party app
- App requests signed message from user
- App sends signature to FarFISH API for verification
- FarFISH returns user profile (reputation, NFT holdings, etc.)
- App grants access based on verification
Security: Signature verification ensures user controls the wallet. No passwords or additional credentials needed.
Reward Distribution (Proposed)
How third-party apps would award rewards:
- User completes action in third-party app
- App calls FarFISH SDK with event details
- FarFISH validates the request (authentication, rate limits)
- FarFISH updates user's leaderboard score or distributes tokens
- Changes reflected across all FarFISH apps
Control mechanism: FarFISH maintains authority over reward distribution to prevent abuse. Apps can't arbitrarily mint reputation.
API Endpoints (Conceptual)
Example endpoints (not implemented):
POST /sdk/v1/auth/verify
POST /sdk/v1/rewards/distribute
GET /sdk/v1/users/{wallet}/reputation
GET /sdk/v1/users/{wallet}/nfts
POST /sdk/v1/events/track
RESTful design: Standard HTTP API for easy integration with any programming language.
These are conceptual examples: No SDK endpoints currently exist. This represents architectural thinking, not implementation.
Economic Coordination Concepts
Shared Reward Pools
Vision: Multiple apps contribute to and draw from shared reward pools.
How it would work:
- App A rewards users with FRH for completing tasks
- App B accepts FRH as payment or reputation signal
- Users earn in one place, spend in another
- Unified economy across ecosystem
Benefit: Creates network effects where each new app increases value of existing apps.
Cross-App Task Verification
Vision: Tasks completed in one app verified in another.
Example:
- User stakes NFT in FarFISH
- Partner app verifies active stake
- Partner app unlocks premium features
- User unstakes → partner app removes access
Benefit: Apps can gate features based on on-chain actions without building custom verification.
Unified Creator Economy
Vision: Content creators and community leaders earn across multiple platforms.
How it would work:
- Creators earn reputation in FarFISH
- Partner platforms recognize this reputation
- Cross-platform content monetization
- Unified follower/fan relationships
Benefit: Creators build once, monetize everywhere.
Developer Benefits (Proposed)
Skip Custom Identity Systems
Problem: Every Web3 app builds wallet connection from scratch.
SDK solution: Pre-built authentication with reputation layer included.
Time saved: Days or weeks of development.
Instant Reputation Layer
Problem: New apps have no user history or trust signals.
SDK solution: Import users' FarFISH reputation on day one.
Benefit: Cold start problem solved-users bring existing standing.
Built-In Incentive Mechanisms
Problem: Designing effective reward systems is complex.
SDK solution: Leverage FarFISH's proven reward distribution.
Benefit: Focus on app features, not tokenomics.
Shared User Base
Problem: User acquisition is expensive.
SDK solution: FarFISH users discover SDK-integrated apps.
Benefit: Access to engaged Web3 audience.
Ecosystem thinking: The SDK would lower barriers to building Web3 apps by providing shared infrastructure-identity, reputation, and incentives as public goods.
Governance and Control
Who Controls the SDK?
Proposed governance model:
- FarFISH maintains core infrastructure
- Community governance for major decisions (future)
- Transparent policies for developer access
- Appeals process for disputes
Balance: Central coordination for reliability, community input for legitimacy.
Developer Approval Process
How developers would get access:
- Application: Submit app description and use case
- Review: FarFISH evaluates for ecosystem fit
- Approval: Granted access with rate limits
- Monitoring: Usage tracked for abuse detection
- Revocation: Access removed if terms violated
Goal: Protect ecosystem integrity while remaining open to legitimate use.
Rate Limits and Quotas
Proposed limits to prevent abuse:
- API call limits per hour/day
- Reward distribution caps per user per day
- Maximum reputation points awardable
- Cooldowns between reward events
Adjustable: Limits may vary based on app's track record and user base.
Security and Anti-Abuse
Preventing Reward Farming
Challenges:
- Sybil attacks (fake accounts)
- Bot-driven activity
- Collusion between users
- Exploitation of partner apps
Proposed mitigations:
- Wallet signature verification (proves control)
- Activity pattern analysis (detect bots)
- Rate limiting (slow down farming)
- Reputation requirements (new accounts restricted)
Data Privacy
What data would be shared:
- Wallet address (already public)
- On-chain activity (already public)
- Leaderboard standing (already public)
- Referral counts (already public)
What would NOT be shared:
- Private keys (never stored)
- Off-chain personal data (FarFISH doesn't collect this)
- Detailed activity logs beyond public data
User control: Users decide which apps to connect. No automatic data sharing.
SDK Abuse Consequences
What happens if a developer abuses the SDK:
- API access revoked
- Distributed rewards clawed back (if possible)
- App blacklisted from ecosystem
- Public disclosure of abuse (transparency)
Enforcement: Designed to be fair but firm-ecosystem health prioritized over individual apps.
Roadmap to Implementation
No committed timeline: The following represents logical development phases, not a committed roadmap. Implementation depends on ecosystem demand and resource availability.
Phase 1: Internal Foundation (Conceptual)
Goals:
- Formalize API contracts
- Build authentication infrastructure
- Test with internal apps
Deliverables: Working prototype for FarFISH's own apps.
Phase 2: Private Beta (Conceptual)
Goals:
- Select 3-5 partner apps
- Real-world testing
- Iterate based on feedback
Deliverables: Functional SDK with documentation.
Phase 3: Public Alpha (Conceptual)
Goals:
- Open applications to all developers
- Public documentation and examples
- Community support channels
Deliverables: Publicly accessible SDK.
Phase 4: Ecosystem Growth (Conceptual)
Goals:
- Onboard dozens of partner apps
- Establish developer community
- Shared governance structures
Deliverables: Thriving multi-app ecosystem.
Why This Matters
The Bigger Picture
Current Web3 landscape:
- Each app is an island
- Reputation doesn't transfer
- Users start from zero everywhere
- Developers rebuild same infrastructure
With Economic Coordination SDK:
- Apps interoperate seamlessly
- Reputation is portable
- Users bring status to new apps
- Developers build on shared foundation
Vision: Move from isolated apps to interconnected ecosystem.
Creator Economy Potential
For creators and community leaders:
Current model:
- Build audience on each platform separately
- Monetization fragmented
- No unified fan relationships
SDK-enabled model:
- Build once, recognized everywhere
- Monetize across platforms
- Portable fan/follower base
Vision: True creator ownership of audience and reputation.
Economic Coordination
What "coordination" means:
Not just payments, but alignment of incentives:
- Users rewarded consistently for valuable actions
- Apps benefit from shared user growth
- Ecosystem compounds value through network effects
Vision: Move from competition for users to coordination that benefits everyone.
Long-term thinking: The SDK represents FarFISH's belief that Web3's potential is realized through cooperation, not fragmentation. Shared infrastructure benefits all participants.
For Developers: Expressing Interest
If you're a developer interested in the Economic Coordination SDK:
While the SDK isn't yet available, FarFISH welcomes ecosystem feedback:
- Share your use case (what would you build?)
- Describe desired functionality
- Identify integration challenges you face
- Propose collaboration opportunities
Feedback channels: Contact through official FarFISH channels (website, social media).
No commitments: Interest expression doesn't guarantee SDK access or implementation timeline.
Conclusion
